The short version: we don't collect anything about you unless you say yes, and saying no changes nothing about how the site works.

What we'd like to set, and why

If you accept, we load measurement tools that tell us whether our advertising is working — roughly, how many people who saw an ad went on to read an article or click through to a shop. One of them also records how pages are used: scrolling, clicks and mouse movement, so we can see which parts people actually read. It does not capture what you type. They set cookies in your browser and share data with the companies that provide them.

We load nothing until you choose. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, none of it runs.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw or change your choice at any time. It takes effect immediately and we forget what you picked before.

Some articles link out to the shop that sells the product. Once you follow a link you're on their site, under their privacy policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens if you think we've got it wrong. Get in touch with us first and we'll try to sort it out.
